Anamario Hernández was born in Mexico City. Daughter of the renowned Architect Agustin Hernández, niece of Amalia Hernández, choreographer and founder of the Ballet Folklórico de Mexico and Granddaughter of Plutarco Elias Calles, President of México during the period of 1923-1929. A strong cultural atmosphere surrounded Anamario's upbringing.

Anamario is a self-taught artist that has faced a time consuming path of solitary and independent search to master and develop her own style. Hernández has exhibited her artwork in Mexico, Paris, Milan, Florence and in the United States in Tucson, Santa Fe, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Washington DC and at the "Anamario Gallery" at The Inn and Spa at Beacon NY. Her Silversmiths work has been guided at the workshop of Silver Works at Glen Echo Park, MD by instructor Blair Anderson and Mawadda Alaswadi.
